About Ino Studio Lab​

Ino Studio Lab ("we," "us," or "our") develops add-ons, extensions, and plug-ins for platforms including Zendesk, Google Workspace, and others. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle data in connection with our products and services.

Our Products​

Ticket PDF Download for Zendesk​

Ticket PDF Download is a Zendesk Marketplace app that allows support agents to export ticket information as PDF files directly from the Zendesk Support interface.

Data Collection and Use​

What data does the app access?

The app accesses the following data through the Zendesk App Framework (ZAF) using the signed-in agent's permissions:

  • Ticket metadata (ID, subject, status, priority, type, tags, timestamps)
  • Requester information (name, email)
  • Assignee information (name, email)
  • Ticket comments (public and, optionally, internal notes)
  • Side Conversations (when the feature is enabled by the agent)

How is data used?

All data accessed by the app is used solely for the purpose of generating a PDF document of the ticket. The PDF is created entirely within the agent's web browser using client-side JavaScript.

Is data stored or transmitted?

  • No cloud storage: The app does not store any ticket data, user information, or metadata on any servers operated by Ino Studio Lab or third parties.
  • No external transmission: No data is transmitted outside of the Zendesk environment. All API calls are made through the Zendesk App Framework to Zendesk's own APIs.
  • Local PDF generation: PDFs are generated in the agent's browser and downloaded directly to the agent's local machine.
  • No tracking or analytics: The app does not include any tracking, analytics, or telemetry features.

Data access controls

Access to ticket data is controlled entirely by:

  • The agent's Zendesk account permissions
  • The agent's role and group memberships in Zendesk
  • Zendesk's built-in access controls and security policies

User Preferences​

The app stores the following preferences locally in the agent's browser using HTML5 localStorage:

  • Whether to include internal notes in PDF exports (true/false)
  • Whether to include side conversations in PDF exports (true/false)

These preferences remain on the agent's device and are not transmitted to any server.

Third-Party Services​

Zendesk​

Our Ticket PDF Download app operates entirely within the Zendesk platform and is subject to Zendesk's Privacy Policy.

jsPDF Library​

The app uses the open-source jsPDF library to generate PDF files client-side. jsPDF runs entirely in the browser and does not transmit any data externally. Learn more at jsPDF GitHub.

Security​

We implement security best practices in the development of our apps:

  • All code runs within the Zendesk App Framework sandbox
  • No external API calls or third-party services are used
  • All data processing occurs client-side in the agent's browser
  • We follow Zendesk's security guidelines for Marketplace apps

Your Rights​

As our app does not collect, store, or process personal data on our servers, there is no data for us to access, modify, or delete. All data remains within your Zendesk account and is subject to Zendesk's data handling practices.

Children's Privacy​

Our products are designed for use by business professionals and are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through in-app notifications or email.

Additional Information for EU Users​

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland:

We do not process personal data on our servers. When you use our Ticket PDF Download app, any processing of personal data occurs within your Zendesk account and is controlled by you (as the data controller) using Zendesk's infrastructure.

Data Subject Rights​

For questions about your rights under GDPR (including rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection), please contact your Zendesk account administrator or Zendesk directly, as they control the data processing.

California Privacy Rights​

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have certain rights regarding their personal information. However, as we do not collect or store personal information on our servers, we do not sell personal information and have no personal information to disclose.
